Data availability
Data of the Indicators and Iloma collections are open for the public. The cleaned, supplemented and harmonized versions of the data are available for Institute of Economics research fellows. Researchers outside the IE can use the data in case of joint research with at least one IE fellow. Availability is subject to the condition that each paper using the IE version of the data will have at least one co-author employed in the IE. Graduate and PhD students can use the data prior to defending their thesis under the conditions that (i) their tutor is employed by the IE on a permanent basis and (ii) they use the data exclusively for research closely connected to their theses. Exceptions to these rules can be made via joint decision of the IE’s deputy director, head of the Databank and representatives of the original data owners (Central Statistical Office, Employment Office). Using the IE versions of the data without written contract is regarded as piracy (unauthorized use of the computer programs producing the IE versions of the data). Outside researchers and students may ask permission to use the data through their co-authors and/or tutors employed at the IE.
